The Annual Children's Craft Fair is an event organized by PAHG to give all local children the opportunity to share their creativity with the greater community, learn about commerce and to earn a little money through the making and selling of craft items. The fair also provides a performance opportunity for children who would like to share their music. This usually takes place the first week in December in Brattleboro.

Each week, we look forward to gathering in this beautiful venue to socialize, learn, and play together!  We love having the choice to bring our children to be a part of this community, rather than to homeschool in isolation. We love the social opportunities our children find here, learning and playing in a festive environment, building camaraderie and friendship.

As a group, we periodically organize field trips for the southern Vermont area homeschool community. Some sites that have been visited:

Vermont Institute of Natural Science, Montshire Museum of Science, Old Sturbridge Village, Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory, Boston Aquarium, Peabody Museum, and the Amherst College Museum.

Putney Area Homeschool Group (PAHG) is a family-run group that aims to create a supportive community for homeschool families in the southern VT area. PAHG's Monday Group gatherings, Field Trips, and Annual Craft Fair are open to all local families.

At this time, The Putney Area Homeschool Group does not have plans to resume weekly group meetings.  Any updates to this will be posted on the Southern Vermont Homeschoolers listserve.  Please use the contact form to be added to the Southern Vermont Homeschoolers Google Group.  Thank you.
